September 1st

Wow! Time flies when you're busy being a single mom of a three month old in a third world country! I can't believe we've been here a month already! Isabella is growing taller every day. Her two favorite things are standing and "flying". She's very observant and doesn't want to miss a thing, so she insists on being carried facing out most of the time. What an amazing blessing she is!

I celebrated my birthday here in Antigua last week. It was hard being away from friends and family, especially Greg, but it was awesome having Isabella with me. There are some new pictures, some of which were taken on my birthday. The power went out during dinner that night at the restaurant, but my friends Brian and Cheryl had the band come up and sing to me anyway. It was fantastic.

Antigua is a very loud city. The other morning, we were awakened suddenly when someone set off firecrackers right beneath our bedroom window! Needless to say, we were surprised! Fortunately, we have found another, more quiet, place to live and will be moving next week.
